This work is grounded in the standard astrocartography system developed by Jim Lewis (1941–1995), whose method is protected and maintained by the Jim Lewis Trust. I use licensed software and verified astronomical datasets to ensure mapping accuracy.

We use the classic Jim Lewis astrocartography method: for each planet we calculate four angular lines — where the planet was on the Ascendant (rising), Descendant (setting), Midheaven / MC (culminating), and Imum Coeli / IC (anti-culminating) at the moment of birth. Those angles are projected as great-circle lines onto a world map.

Intensity typically decreases with distance from the line. Classical practitioners quote effects possible up to ~1,000 km (≈700 miles) from an exact line, while many practitioners report the most noticeable effects within ~150 km (≈90–100 miles). Use this as a working guideline, not a strict rule — individual sensitivity varies.

For deeper analysis I create a relocated natal chart for the city or region in question. Intersections of Sun with other planetary lines change the flavor of outcomes (for example, Sun Intersection Venus often brings warmth, harmony, and a noticeable increase in likability and social ease. These places can highlight beauty, creativity, romance, and pleasure. You may attract supportive relationships, feel more confident in your appearance, and experience smoother social or financial opportunities.; Sun Intersection Mercury can create a sharp, bright mental energy where ideas flow easily, communication becomes clearer, and your voice feels stronger and more confident. It enhances learning, writing, networking, and self-expression, making these locations ideal for launching projects that require clarity, creativity, or intellectual focus.). I always interpret Sun together with the broader map and natal aspects.

1. Collect natal data and client goals (love, creativity, income, home life).
2. Produce an astrocartography map showing angular lines (AC, DC, MC, IC) and their approximate influence radii.
3. Create relocated chart(s) for candidate cities and inspect natal aspects → Venus placements → line intersections.
4. Deliver a written consultation: likely themes, opportunities, cautions, and a short action plan (timing, short visits vs. relocation, local practicalities).

Astrocartography projections are based on astronomical ephemeris data. For each planet at the moment of birth, its right ascension and declination are calculated using a standard astronomical ephemeris (commonly Swiss Ephemeris or JPL DE430/431 data). These coordinates are then transformed into local sidereal time, which determines planetary angularity in relation to the Earth's rotation.

For each location on Earth, we calculate whether the planet was:

• Rising (Ascendant, AC)
• Setting (Descendant, DC)
• At its highest elevation (Midheaven, MC)
• Directly beneath the horizon (Imum Coeli, IC)

This is determined using standard spherical trigonometry converting ecliptic to horizon coordinates via the formula:

tan(Altitude) = sin(Declination)*sin(Latitude) + cos(Declination)*cos(Latitude)*cos(Hour Angle)

The positions where altitude equals 0° at rising/setting or reaches maximum elevation form the basis of the global line projections.
